What is the difference between blank verse, free verse?
Also, what is the difference between either of those and prose? I have read poems that don't rhyme, and though some were pretty good, I couldn't get rid of this feeling at the back of my head that I am just reading lines of ruffly similar length. What makes rhymeless poetry verse and not prose except for the way lines are arranged on the page?

Blank verse, meter but no rhyme scheme. Often the meter is iambic pentameter, da-DUM da-DUM da-DUM da-DUM da-DUM
Free verse has neither meter nor rhyme scheme. It's poetry because of its line breaks and use of other poetic devices.
