How old is the Earth?
According to the Bible, Earth is 6000 years old but in science, I learned that the Earth is over 4 billion years old.

Radioactive element dating of moon rocks brought back to earth shows that the moon is 4.5 billion years old. Earth rock is constantly being melted by volcanic activity so it is hard to find rock that have been around since the earth was formed. Since the moon is a chunk of the earth that has been torn from the earth by a collision with a meteor, the earth must be at least 4.5 billion years old too. The moon is mostly rock and less dense than the earth because it is made of material blasted off of the surface of the earth, with the heavier core of the earth not being thrown into outer space.
The last ice age ended 13,000 years ago, and dinosaurs became extinct 65 million years ago. The first multicellular animals evolved about 600 million years ago. The earliest fossils found on earth are bacteria and they are 3.2 billion years old. All these lines of evidence obtained from radioactive dating poo-poos the nonsensical claim that the earth is only 6,000 years old.

Funny thing is, the Bible itself never says that, the 6000 year old thing was some priest who tried to use the Bible to calculate the age of the Earth; and that guy was an idiot. The Bible is a work of fiction; it's an allegory. There are important lessons that can be learned, and there is a little bit of history (that is greatly exaggerated), in it. But overall, it's not a reliable source for anything factual.

Nobody knows. What we have is only theories. Nobody has been here for so long. Religions and scientists can be wrong.
It could be thousand years old or may be even billions. Who knows?

There is ample evidence to show that the Earth is just over 6000 years old as the Bible says.

The Bible does not actually say how old the Earth is, but about 1300 years ago Bishop Asser calculated the age by making some assumptions about the ages of all the generations listed in the Old Testament. He came up with 6006 BC as the date of Creation. Thus by his notions, the Earth is now 8026 years old.
In modern times science has calculated the age of the Earth at about 4.6 billion years. The universe is about 13.5 billion years old.

the commonly accepted age of the solar system, and thus the earth, is slightly more than 4.5 billion years. If the age of the earth and the solar system is different from this, then there has been one heck of a coincidence that makes it just seem that way from numerous lines of observation. It is, of course, "Possible" that everything is just coincidence or that there is some unknown reason for giving us a false idea, but there are no good reasons to accept that idea.
There is a wealth of evidence that is consistent with that 4.5 by date. Need a very good reason to reject it as meaningless. Is it possible? Of course, but possible is a long cry from likely or even unlikely but still reasonable. Almost anything is "Possible".
For example, it is possible that we all came into existence a scant 34 seconds before I wrote this, but we have been falsely deceived somehow to believe that we have a past longer than that. You and I or anyone else (if they even exist) cannot prove that this did NOT happen, so it has to be seen as "Possible". But is it reasonable? Of course not.

That is not true some evangelical came up with that time line looking at the lineages of the characters in the bible, from Adam and Eve.
Who lived in the land of nod? The nodiites pre-dated Adam and Eve?

Science is 100% evidence based..Religion is 100% faith based and you don't need faith to believe something that is real..If the evidence pointed to a 6000 year old earth, science would happily proclaim it..

The Bible is not a book of Science.
The Earth is About 5 Billion years old.
