Why are Gay Men offended when someone calls them a Fudge Packer?

Most folks like fudge and think it tastes good

    It’s a homophobic slur.  That’s why.  It’s reducing them to a sex act that not all gay men even like to do.

    Probably because that antiquated slur maintains the myth or stereotype that homosexual men do nothing to clean out one's rectum before engaging in intercourse and wind up having sh!t all over the place.  It's a childish, grade school level insult from the 80s and 90s.

    As in any similar name calling,  its not the words so much as the intent.  In the example you provide,  they are not saying this to a gay man because they like eating fudge.
