    You don't need scientists.

You can create a replica from paper mache formed into spheres, or by blowing up balloons to various sizes.

Provided that the scientists must be able to create their own energy to build a new solar system, but since the rule of conservation of energy is, energy can not be crated nor destroyed. Then can never will.

Lisa Simpson did it in "Treehouse of Horror VII".  The "Genesis Tub" was her science fair experiment of cola and Bart's molar in a margarine container.  A zap of static electricity from Bart for life and evolution started.  A very tiny civilization arose overnight, with the tooth as a church.  "I've created Lutherans!"  Cracked me up.

That's already been done digitally and in computer models for years. There is are GIGO (garbage in, garbage out) and confirmation bias chaos theory and the randomness  of quantum mechanics issues. The Universe keeps surprising us.
