If soaking raw cut french fries in corn syrup and sugar, how much sugar is actually absorbed in each raw fry? ?

Update:

I can't believe those previous responses.  Too funny!  Soaking french fries in water with corn syrup and sugar is what gives em the McDonalds taste.  And they come out great!  Especially fried in olive oil.  Dare I say healthy but a lot healthier than FF restaurants and fun to make.  If your interested in trying it, Look up Shotgun Red's video on youtube.

I'm curious how to measure sugar content in each fry.  How do companies measure sugar and sodium when they post it on packaging labels?

why would you soak them is sugar and corn syrup?

they will not absorb much and in order to fry them you will have to dry them so any sweetener on the surface will be wiped off.

And any sugar left on the surface will burn in the hot oil.
