There is nothing you can do to hide the smell of alcohol.  Every method known to humanity has been tried hundreds of times over, and they all fail.

The whiskey smell isn't just on your breath, it's in your whole body.  It lasts until it's gone, and there is no way to mask or hide it.

I don't think you can hide the smell of booze, especially spirits

  • Some of the whiskey smell is in your sweat and doesn't come out of your mouth. The chemical making the smell is acetyldehyde, which is what ethanol becomes in the liver before it changes again into acetate. If you drink too much liquor, the liver can't completely metabolize the alcohol to acetate, and you get stinky acetyldehyde coming out of your skin.

  • Won't work.  You'll just have coffee and whisky breath.

    That won't do anything.

If you need to hide the smell of alcohol, refrain from drinking alcohol.

peanut butter..peppermint..garlic...sage....Although it sounds cliche, eating before or while you are drinking can help you reduce alcohol breath.Popcorns, snacks, peanuts and other munchies can sure heighten the presence of alcohol breath. beets.... If you love hard alcohol such as whiskeys and scotch, then coffee is a solution for you. Coffee contains oils that can help you cover the breath. Tomato Juice..mustard.. onion contains strong smell that can easily override your booze breath resulting from yester night’s whiskey. For best results, it is preferable to choose red onions because their smell is stronger.Lemon contains citrus, a pleasant acid that can help you get inside unnoticed from alcohol smell overnight drinking.

    Nope.   Time and a toothbrush/toothpaste.

Alcohol seeps out through one's pores and breath.  There really isn't anything to cover up THAT smell.    It's a non-issue for someone who hasn't consumed much alcohol.  But if one's been on a binge, they might smell for a day or two.
