What other RAM can be usead instead of a 4gb pc2 6400 fir my laptop?

This pc2 ram is very rare and could not find a kit of 8gb. My current ram is 4 which needs to be upgraded.

Can I use pc3 ram with a higher speed instead of a pc2 6400 ram?

Sorry, only PC2 modules will fit. Each class of memory has a unique socket, with the notch in a different location.

If you use PC3 RAM in a PC2 slot, it'll destroy the mainboard plus it won't fit anyway.

You can only use PC2 RAM also known as DDR2.

Probably not.  That laptop might not accept any more than 4GB, and no higher speed. You should check with the maker, whoever that was, about that model, whichever it is.

Or you could try to find out at www.crucial.com what it will use for expansion.

That is all that can be guessed from your information, which was almost nothing.
