How often does Russia, China and North Korea hold Presidential Elections? Do they ALLOW as many as 20 candidates to seek office during?

primaries just like the U.S. does?

Do the leading vote recipients get to run for President?

Update:

How many candidates ran against Putin in the last "ELECTION" and are still ALIVE?

China and NK are communist. Russia is not.  Russian presidential terms are 6 years and you are only allowed to have two consecutive terms.  After you are out for one term, you can run again, which is what Putin did, and got elected 2 more times.

China and NK hold elections for the communist party itself, and you have to be a member to vote.

While you did not mention communists, you did lump three countries together of which 2 are communist, and one used to be communist.  Often times the uneducated think that Russia still is.
