    bad V-belt is usually the cause .............................

    the fan belt pullies get a shine on them  pull of fan belt use a piece of sandpaper rub the pullies just take a bit of the shine of the pullies the belt is slipping on the shinney pullie

    It's usually old dry drive belts. If you replace them yourself make sue you spin all the pulleys by hand to make sure they don't feel gritty or have play in them. Replace the pulleys if they do feel bad.
