A wire has a diameter of D = 0.35 cm and is L = 5.5 m long. When connected to a V = 19 V source the wire passes a I = 15 A current.?

What is the wire's resistivity in Ω⋅m?

    R = V/I = 19/15 ohm

    19/15 = ρ *L /A

    19*0.7854*3.5^2 = 15*5.5*ρ

     ρ = 19*0.7854*3.5^2*10^-6 / (15*5.5) = 2.2*10^-6 ohm*m

    ρ = RA/L

    ρ = (V/I)(𝜋d²/4)/L

    ρ = V𝜋d²/4IL

    ρ = 19𝜋(0.0035)²/(4*15*5.5)

    ρ = 2.2 x 10⁻⁶ Ω⋅m
