can a doctor predict if a baby is intersex?

this is a really random (and dumb) question, but can a doctor detect if a baby is intersex during pregnancy?

Probably not. Today's ultrasounds are pretty amazing and could probably detect a child with some genital abnormalities. But if an infant looked to be a boy on an ultrasound, it might still have a vagina that wouldn't be discovered until later. That's what happened to a friend of mine who had an intersex baby that they were initially told was a boy. It took DNA testing to determine that the baby was female.

Is it possible?  With today's technology, yes.  But it is nothing something that they would do without a reason.  the types of ultrasounds and that they do a baby would be unlikely to reveal that.
