I don't recall anyone ever bumping into me on purpose. If they did, I would ignore them. It's their problem, not mine.

The bumper is looking for attention.  He does not care if it is negative or positive as long as he is noticed.  Why give him what he wants?

How would you know if someone has done that 'on purpose'?

But whether or not a bump was deliberate, often it's far easier to just ignore it and move on.  What would you hope to achieve by confronting them, verbally or physically?

Embarrassment, awkwardness and extreme discomfort at what has happened.

Trying to have manners, and not start trouble.
