A plane carries relief supplies to a motorist stranded in a snowstorm. The pilot drops the package while flying horizontally 350m above ?

above the highway. The speed of the plane is a constant 52m/s.

How long does it take for the package to reach the highway?

What is the range of the package?

How do I find the range? My understanding is that the range equation is for projectiles that start and end at the same height, which doesn't work here.

The "range equation" by which you probably mean D = v^2 sin(2theta) / g is for projectiles that start and end at the same height.

    Here the range equation is D = v sqrt(2h/g)
