What do you think you would believe about life if you were born in 1830?

Why don't you think about this...

What exactly do you, according to HISTORY, think that you would believe..

If you were born in 1830, and that was your mom in that big long dress with the big hat, carrying that parasol.. Wearing those boots..

And that was your mom.. Literally building dinner, not just cooking it 😆...

Wearing that apron, and that bonnet..

And you got sick with smallpox one time..

And the best she could do or even DREAM to come up with..

Is put a cold wet rag on your head..

Give you water... Or juice...

And give you what today, considered snake oil, from an alchemist 😆..

And you got lucky.. And lived to tell it..

A time in which myths today we're considered facts because NOBODY knew any better..

Not your teachers, not your mom, not your dad, not your sisters and brothers, not your neighbors..

Not the scientists..

Not the inventors..

Not the philosophers..

Not the President..

Not the Queen..

Nobody.. Nobody knew better..

And Nobody has yet come up with anything else.

What would you believe ?

Update:

@ Tublet Huglet

What you believe today didn't exist then, took nearly 200 years to get to..

And would either have you put in an insane asylum back then, if you couldn't prove your theories.

:)

Update 2:

There always will be more unknowns than known.

I'd just believe what I believe today- that there are a lot of unknowns, and that's just the way it is.

People still believe a lot of foolish things, because they'd rather have foolish answers than no answers at all.

I just watch television and never worry about any of it.

I would be too busy working to think much about what I believed about life.  Think of all the conveniences that we have today that they didn’t have then. They actually had little spare time to contemplate things.
