Elongating one's voice is training for your vocal cords. Elongating one's vocal cords can make your voice deeper, for example. But, I don't see how the term would be used to describe the last line of a song. Unless, you meant for the person to lower their voice or expand their vocal range.
You have to expand your vocal range on the last line of the song.
You have to lower your voice on the last line of the song.
You have to hold your notes longer on the last line of the song.
