How should a mother handle the following? I would have loved a tattoo when I was 10. The ten year old girl she legally adopted tells her step mother that she loves her permanent tattoos on her body (different parent gave permission) and does not want them removed. Should the mother get her step daughter tattoos removed, if she does not want them removed? The mother has a very good relationship with her step daughter she knows a short time. Her step daughter is the best behaved child in school.

In the U.K. children are not allowed to have tattoos. Removing them might be dangerous, perhaps - and would not benefit their relationship one would think.

No one should have any kind of procedure done on them without their permission unless that procedure is necessary for their health. That's my personal opinion only of course.
