Wind turbines need enormous amounts of concrete that will be there forever, dotting once-pristine rural landscapes?

These are monuments to our virtue signaling left. These idiots would tear down statues of Lincoln as they erect their monuments to their ridiculous fantasies.

It is no longer possible for humans to live in a way that does NOT leave permanent marks on the landscape or tie up some of the earth's resources in, effectively, permanent form. Anyone who claims we can live in perfect balance with nature is deluding themselves. What we can do is to reduce the rate of impact we have on the earth ... but we are not willing to be serious about it because we like our warm homes, our devices, our vehicles, our air conditioning, our medicine, our fashion and our freedom of movement.
Our lifestyle would be less of problem if we weren't increasing world population all the time ... but we are and have been for a long time. We could just about get away with living our present lifestyles if the population was a fraction of what it is now. That is a nettle no one seems willing to grasp so they dishonestly divert the attention towards cars or something else they think they personally could live without. That's how we know they are not serious and just virtue signalling. Wind turbines probably crap on the world less than most other energy sources. They are just not reliable enough to guarantee the base load of power required.
