What does it mean when a person has clients? ?

When you are told by a persons client something.

What does it mean when a person has clients? Are they famous or what?

    Clients are customers who pay for a service.

    Hairdressers have clients

    Nail,technicians and so on.

    "Client" is just a fancy word for "customer".   

    A "client" is usually the customer of a professional or other service provider that has an ongoing relationship with them...lawyer, accountant, hair dresser, veterinarian....

    Cashiers at Target or Home Depot have "customers".
