Gift card use?

Forgive me if this is a stupid question because of my lack of knowledge on math including buying things in general. I’m not gonna mention what I bought since that’s personal but I bought something that costs $24.79 and I used a $25 gift card to buy that item after that I went back and checked my balance and it said 0.21 is what’s left on my gift card. What does that mean? Does that mean I still owe more where I’ll get a bill saying I owe 0.21 or does that just mean that’s all that’s left in my gift card, I don’t owe anymore and I’m good to go?

You may continue to use your gift card to make purchases up to 21 cents.

    What is 25.00 minus 24.79?  .21, right?

You don't get bills from gift cards. You really can't figure out that $25 minus $24.79 leaves .21??? Really?

    Gift card value:        $25.00

    less purchase:         - 24.79

    Remaining value:      0.21
