According to the phrase "don't do it" in this statement, are people kidding with me or do they mean it?

This is the statement I am referring to:

"It is fairly inappropriate but not awful if it's not a nude, if it is then that's very inappropriate. If you don't have permission from the person photographed, then don't do it."

So, is that person joking with me or do they MEAN IT when they say "Don't do it"?

    I think you should read it straight, just as it is written.

    Yes. I would mean it.

    It is VERY rude to take someone's picture when they're not clothed. More so then when the have clothes on.
