Gaming monitor ?

I currently have a 1080p 60hz tv but am looking to upgrade for the series x. I can pick up a 4k 60hz monitor for around £350 and maybe even cheaper for a 1440p 144hz monitor.

Which one is worth upgrading to? I have a feeling 4k 60fps will be the target for most series x games.

serious gamers use 1080p, 60 Hz, and eschew 4k ... why?  speed of rendering makes a great deal of difference in competitive situation

Whats your cure nt graphics card?  Most recent ones will support 1440 fine but some older ones that are fine with 1080 may not properly support 1440.

Full 4k gaming you really want a 20x0 or one of the new 30x0 cards.

Almost any 4K HDTV that runs at 60 Hz or faster in a reasonable size would be cheaper than your choices.

Right now I run two Samsung 4K HDTVs  that do 120 Hz max for the new MS Flight Simulator 2020 from an i7-4770K CPU and an RX 580 GPU. Looks great.
