Now is a repeated signifier for a moment of conscious experience.

When you asked it it was today for you but now it’s yesterday but today for me.

at the very moment you are reading this

  • Now is something which arises in conjunction with consciousness to create actions. Actions become memories. These are our past and our thoughts become the foundation of the future. Our thoughts condition our actions which are linked to our identity which itself evolves through time like a grand oak. We grow into the far reaches of the sky. Our branches spread into various reaches.

Consciousness halts the flow of time into a moment of clarity. Beyond the many clamorous reactions there is thought and action. We travel along its thread and when we are gone it will race to unlimited pace until another consciousness arises to produce clarity.

"In the same river we both step and do not step, we are and we are not."  Yoda, oops, Heraclitus.

p.s.  Neuroscience out of Switzerland is indicating both continuous and discrete awareness, with time awareness imho somewhere in the middle of the two processes--depending on where one's attention is.

The Path of the Higher Self.
