Is rhubarb traditionally eaten in Germany?

What traditional German dishes use rhubarb?

    You use it a lot i cakes and tarts. 

    If I recall correctly, rhubarb contains some chemicals that are very very bitter, but than loose their bitterness when mixed with dairy. 

    That is why many rhubarb cakes contain yogurt or whipped cream too.

    Have you just replaced "LARD" with rhubarb?  Are we going to be treated to the same parade of questions asking if "rhubarb" was ever used in "country x"?  Don't you have chores to be getting on with?  Homework to do?

    They mostly use it cakes and tarts, often with a streusel topping (you get this variant all over the midwest where German immigrants brought it with them) or a merangue topping.
