Queue up the standard christian denial followed by a personal attack:

    1.  The Bible DOES line up with a loving God!

    2.  You don't understand the Bible / you hate God.

Because of what love looks like.

Young people think sex is the only expression of love in existence.

    It isn't so.

Some people believe that all expressions of love are beautiful are looked back on fondly, that's  not correct either.

Once, one of my neighbors saved the life of his best friend.

His best friend was being attacked by a mental case with a knife, so He drew his .38 and shot him in the chest.

The knife man went down, but before he did, blood shot out of his chest and splashed his gun, his face, and his friend.

He immediately puked, then his friend puked, and both started to cry.

Definitely an act of love, and definitely ugly.p

Not all in the Bible did what God would have them do.

They do.  Harsh people, harsh Law.  Gentle people, gentle gospel.   God has to consistently do what is best for the greatest possible number of his human children eternally.

FATHER doesn't talk that much, yet the bible says tons of stuff: Therein lies the problem.

That goes to the matter of being attuned to and tuned in to God's will, word, and way.  His side is the good side.  What you suggest is perhaps the other side, where the consequences are severe, Romans 11:22.  Read and heed.

The Bible was written over the course of thousands of years, and during so many years, there were times when civilization broke down, violence occurred, and the writers of the Bible knew a lot of hardship.
