A pharmacist answers your question in the following link https://walrus.com/questions/taking-claritin-with-... They say it's best not to but if you ask your doctor they may say that it's ok to take clarityn in the morning and the nyquil at night. ''Taking both medications together potentially increases the likelihood of central nervous system side effects of drowsiness, confusion, problems with coordination and respiratory depression (problems breathing).'' https://walrus.com/questions/taking-claritin-with-... Dayquil contains the exact same ingredients as nyquil severe minus the antihistamine so you could take that instead.

They both have antihistamines, so it's probably not a good idea to take them together.

Claritin is an antihistamine, for allergies.  Nyquil is supposed to be for colds--decongestant and cough medicine.  Antihistamines do nothing for colds.  But Nyquil also has antihistamines, I guess just to cover all the bases.
