You ever sit on a train and there's another train next to you and the train moves, but you can't tell which one is moving?

    Is that like being next to another car,  hearing a knock and wondering which trunk it was

    Yes I have and sometimes when the other train is going the other way I feel like I'm going backwards

    Yes, that happens  a lot here actually...........trains are still the best way to get around in Italy.

    Yes ... it's relative motion in an almost inertial frame of reference. You get the same thing sometimes on a hill if you or the car in front is stopped and the other one rolling.
