Can I write a melody in A major with a D#?

I refuse to change the key to F# which is appropriate! Can I still keep it in A Maj with my D#? or is it a-tonal crap? It sound pleasant to the ear!!

There are no rules of what you can and can't put in. If it sounds pleasant to the ear(and actually, even if it doesn't), there's no reason you can't add an accidental to put a note that isn't in the key signature. That's what accidentals are for.
