    You obviously never listened to Queens' music. They were harder edged than the Beatles. Both had great harmonies but I believe Queen were more versatile.

    No.  The Beatles clearly influenced music done by others simultaneously & after them, just as they were influenced by others simultaneously & before them.  Still, it's hilarious to read "Sad Eyed" contend that Queen was a better live band.

  • They were obviously very influenced by The Beatles but equally as influenced by The Beach Boys, Bowie and Led Zeppelin.  So no they were just as unique as The Beatles and as a live band absolutely surpassed them.

    Not at all. Queen is a theatrical rock and roll group, and the The Beatles are more of a British bluegrass (Skiffle) influenced pop/rock outfit. Where Queen wanted to create songs that invoke power, glory and elegant flamboyance, The Beatles were essentially a crooning quartet that happened to play instruments and write their own music.
