what is the least physically demanding olympic sport?
some are more demanding than others. what is the least demanding event in the olympics? i think it would be one of the throwing events like the discus or hammer or javelin but am unsure. the reason i say the throwing sports, is because even though they are massively strong, they only exert themselves for a VERY VERY short period of time, unlike the running/skiing/swimming sports. endurance is harder than exertion.

Pistol shooting and archery would not raise a persons heart rate very much

I think they still have show jumping in the Olympics?
It takes a lot of skill but not much fitness to ride a horse for a couple of minutes, there have been riders aged in their 60s who have competed.
