Do you think Covid paranoia forced lot of business owners who didn't need money (Was something to do ) to close?
I can imagine that a lot of business owners who just kept the business going who already had plenty of money to retire...were forced to retire. I can imagine 5 months of no income made them.

I'm just sitting here wondering what "Covid paranoia" means. Getting towards a million deaths, WITH mitigation, in around 6 months sure sounds like a pandemic to me.

The only ones who didnt need the money were baby boomers. I don't know how, but these idiots always have unlimited money and i never have any idea where it comes from or why.
"yeah i just bought a new $60k corvette" or "yeah, i just bought my son a house" like WTF?? how??? Why???
even though they usually have a sheit business that makes you wonder how they even have 1 customer. Not to mention, most boomers can walk into any bank and get a $100,000 line of credit with no questions asked just because they made a $30 per month credit card payment for the past 40 years and somehow that makes them "financially responsible" XD the whole money system in this country is backwards and fuked up beyond belief.

No, you're way off. Most business owners don't have piles of cash that they can just use for an easy retirement. An example, a friend was a longtime business owner. There was no other income and the owner decided that due to lack of people coming to the business (which were mainly tourists), that it would close. Now the friend is still wondering how to get an income because they are not emotionally or financially ready to retire.

No, it was the exact opposite.
In countries that closed enough, quickly enough, the virus was soon under control, businesses were able to reopen soon, and the owners were not forced to retire.
In the United States, because we closed too little, and too late, we had to keep businesses closed longer, and that is why many had to close permanently.
It was not because of paranoia. It was because of the lack of it.

Small business owners never "don't need money." They were working to support themselves & their families. A small business is far too much work & far too many headaches to be a hobby or "something to do" for someone who has ample funds. They'd do better with managing their investments, etc with a fraction of the time & effort. Not working an average 60 or more hours per week. Those business owners who have lost their businesses have lost their livelihoods, and typically have NONE of the safety nets or advantages of employees - who were granted $600/week on top of regular unemployment benefits. They're the ones getting rich off the situation.
You clearly lack any information, knowledge, or insight into owning & operating a business.
