How to disable Paddle Shifters on a 2017 Ford Explorer?

I am wondering if there is a way to disable this feature on the back of the steering wheel?

Get your owners manual out.   Find the part about fuses.   Look in the fuse box and there might be a paper telling you what each fuse is for.   See if there is one for the paddle shift levers.  I doubt there is.   If there is not,  then the only way to disable them is to either disconnect the wires or use epoxy putty and epoxy them so they do not move.    Or you can just keep your hands away from the levers.

Just leave the transmission shift lever in "D".
