I am going to give my old laptop computer to goodwill tomorrow. It is broken but I will tell them it works like new. Is this legal.?

I'm gonna do it anyway I don't need it anymore it's just waste

    Don't make any claim that is not true, 

    and don't donate any device that does not work.  

    It is better to recycle defective electronics.  

                 

    How would YOU like to pay for something that doesn't work?

    Recycle it instead of giving it to Goodwill. They don't want it.

    some smartarse will scan the hard drive remove all your personal data and rob you blind.

    just because it won't work for you doesn't mean anything.

    and i really doubt you scrubbed the harddrive in any serious way especially as it's broken.
