    There are probably three numbers showing.  The first is the systolic pressure (how hard your heart pumps). The second lower number is the diastolic pressure (the pressure in your veins between heart beats). Then there is often a number that tells you how many times your heart beats a minute. Any additional symbols that may appear will be specific to the model of blood pressure monitor you are using and may relate to things like whether the battery needs to be replaced.
