Why is there a myth that homeless travel to california? Almost all are locals. What can we do as a community to stop it?

I noticed that too. A couple of people answered one of my questions saying that all the homeless in California moved there. I'm like how is a homeless guy in Kansas going to be able to move to California? And even if he could WHY would he choose to move to a state with such a high cost of living?

Its far less expensive to give the homeless a small place to live, like a motel room with a kitchen. Just unpaid medical Bill's alone cost millions. If they were off the streets they wouldn't be so vulnerable to disease and violence.

Where did you hear that myth. I've not heard anyone say homeless people travel.

Are you asking how to stop homelessness or how to stop the myth?
