What happens when you don't clean the filter on a fish tank? A:  the water gets cloudy and the fish suffocate and die....?

What happens when the air is polluted and not enough trees to filter it and make oxygen ?

A:  The sky gets cloudy then we suffocate and die.

There are such idiots in the world to ask such questions?

You shouldn't clean your outside filter, for they have the beneficial bacteria, convert ammonia, to nitrites finally to nitrates. It depends on what you call "cleaning the filter". You want to clean the filter of most filters at the MACRO particle part, the bacterial bed you never mess with. Depends on the filter you are using.

@ ksw its not about the aquarium, stupid.  Its an analogy.  Do you even get the point?

And @raven, thanks for clarifying, but its not about the fish EITHER.

If you actually HAD an aquarium, you would not ask such a stupid question.

They don't suffocate exactly.... ammonia will build up and that is a poison, which kills them.
