Zayn Malik left Islam. What do you think?

That's very sad if he has but all have a free will and the choice whether to follow or not. Perhaps he may reconsider in time but there are many who lead Muslims away from the path of Islam as is written in the Qur'an. Choosing ones friends and allies carefully is one of the keys to life. One of the main weapons against Islam is the alleged violence involved and yet the way of the world is violent in these days and many have become enemies of the Lord, The Most High and are part of the rebellion. A peaceful Utopia without Islam is not possible, that is never going to happen. Let us hope that he has a change of heart before the end and that, as the Qur'an says, there are those who drift in and out of the religion and others who are caught up with those who are of the world and become like them until maybe they see that they have given up something good for things which are transient and cause no benefit in the longer term. Someone who has been led astray and blindfolded to true Islam will only see bad in the religion but those who are guided see the much greater good and again, as the Qur'an so rightly says, sometimes we see good in things which are bad for us and bad in that which is good, does it not ... ? The greater question is whether Allah (swt) has given up on Zayn Malik as Allah (swt) guides whomsoever He wills as and when He chooses so hope remains. Retaining just one atom of faith might yet save Zayn.

this is his path to take in life.. we dont know for sure if he completely doesnt identify as a muslim or not.. maybe he is just like the average christian in the west.. says they are of a certain faith, but still go out and drink, take drugs, and fornicate.... but show up in Church on a Sunday.... there are many people of many faiths that do this.. Zayn might still identify a muslim, just not a practicing one....

Shatyaan leads people away from God in small steps until the person becomes an apostate. So, this guy becoming an apostate should be no surprise. The question is how many of his followers will follow him? That is what happens when people make idiols of other people.
Quran 47:8those who disbelieve - for them is misery, and (Allah) will make their deeds vain.Quran 14:18The example of those who disbelieve in their Lord is [that] their deeds are like ashes which the wind blows forcefully on a stormy day; they are unable [to keep] from what they earned a [single] thing.Quran 9:3And give tidings to those who disbelieve of a painful punishment.Quran 46:2On the Day when those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) will be exposed to the Fire (it will be said): "You received your good things in the life of the world, and you took your pleasure therein. Now this Day you shall be recompensed with a torment of humiliation, because you were arrogant in the land without a right, and because you used to rebel and disobey (Allah).Source(s): Quran

every human being is free to do and choose as he or she pleases but there is a day of judgement. that is all I say on things. you may not be muslim but you may do all the things which Islam says you must do to go to paradise so for me personally its not a big issue if one becomes a muslim or not.
there are a lot of fake muslims on this planet including a majority who use their religion as some sort of passport to suit their own agendas and means. It is not enough to call yourself a muslim. you must live like one and follow the teachings of the Quran in a correct and responsible manner.
In fact, if you are a bad person by nature and do wicked things then you are not a muslim. Its that simple.

I honestly do not care as a Muslim, that's his choice and he made his choice. He chose to leave Allah Almighty on his own while Allah never leaves His servants and this guy made up excuses for leaving. Allah doesn't make anyone follow Him and doesn't force anyone to be Muslim. Allah guided him, Allah chose him when Allah guided him of all the people in the world and now, this person showed that he did not want God's guidance and he chose to let go of God's greatest blessing. He did not give a reasonable, logical reason as to why he left, his response was pathetic and nothing logical about it and nothing wise about it whatsoever.
The response he gave, I could answer him if I could and how he viewed it was very very wrong while his response was full of ignorance. He saw it as a restriction while it was a protection for him from Allah when he made comments about eating certain foods. There's a reason why certain foods are forbidden and why Allah loves certain things because Allah loves His servants and wants the best for them. While this individual, I believe did not see the benefit of Allah's boundaries, Allah's protections, the things Allah loves so much so that He doesn't want to lose His servants to wrongdoing, the devil and evil deeds.
Furthermore, he didn't hold onto his faith, he let go of the Rope of Allah, the Mercy of Allah, the Love of Allah and instead chose a path that will be no avail to him whatsoever, regardless in this life or the afterlife, the path he chose will not help him succeed in either worlds. He knows what he chose, he alone knows what he wants more than faith, more than trust in God, more than desiring the afterlife and something else more than the relationship with God because I don't know what is in his heart that of which he chose over Allah Almighty.
Also, Allah knows what is in his heart, Allah alone knows what he desires more than faith and Allah alone knows his intentions. These are some of the reasons why I do not care and because God alone will judge him one day just as God will judge many people.
He doesn't realize the dangers of his mistake right now and the choice he made lacks wisdom, there is no wisdom behind his choices whatsoever.
It may be that Allah Almighty The Most Compassionate may guide him once more if Allah will be very kind to him, very generous to him and if Allah wants. Some people never get their faith back.
Finally, Allah Almighty isn't the one that is in need, we are the ones who are in need of Allah and we need His guidance, His mercy, His help to help us succeed with everything that matters; in this life and the afterlife. Allah is free of needs and doesn't need our worship whatsoever. And there are other people that Allah cherishes and loves and will guide them. They will be better worshipers than the ones that turned away from Allah, the new guided people will be better than ever than the ones who turned away from the truth.
Allah The Most High has warned about those who turn away and what are the consequences those who reject the truth. No one can save us except Allah alone from the Hellfire and we are nothing without Allah. We are the ones who are in need of Him always.
