There are a lot of bald faced hornets around my house How do I find the nest?

    You have to follow them, that is how apiest do it. I get lots around too, they head for the tree line in back of the property. Likely where they have their hive.

    Meanwhile, just let them do their thing, their way, and ignore them and they will much ignore you. On the deck eating watermelon, go ahead and share a little, they don't eat much. Go swatting at them, you set them off to sting.

    Its best to call an exterminator before you get hurt.

    Bald face hornets usually hunt prey for their food but they will occasionally scavenge for sugars. Place some fruit like apples as bait. As the fruit begins to rot and smell, it should attract the hornets. You might be able to observe the direction the hornets are flying to and from and be able to make your way to their nest.
