Why is Mexico corrupt? Why does America not help Mexico from its corruption but can invade the middle east?
Would helping Mexico be beneficial financially long term? Why don't they do it the US government?

Mexico still has a cartel problem but it is getting much better. Fast.
Cartels stay powerful by smuggling people over the border.
They stay wealthy by selling drugs.
Both the US & Mexico have cracked down in the last 2 or 3 years.
The legal ports of entry are beefed up massively.
The wall is nearing 300 miles.
Mexico has posted 27,000 troops along their borders.
It's getting extremely infeasible for cartels to survive.

Mexico is corrupt because of the U.S. Americans fund corruption by purchasing illegal drugs from Mexico. Mexican criminals get guns because the U.S. sells them.
The U.S. needs Mexico to remain corrupt because the U.S. needs Mexicans fleeing corruption to work on its farms. If Mexico wasn't corrupt and it was safe for all Mexicans to stay there, then the farms in the U.S. would not be able to produce as much food. This would not be beneficially financially to the U.S., because it would not be able to make as much money selling food and would have to spend more money buying food.
