There are several cars built in Africa. By the way, Africa has many nations on the continent. Car factories are in Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya...there are Toyotas built in Africa too, but some other brands are built in Africa . You are very ignorant about Africa. Just because Africa doesn't import cars to your backwoods town, that doesn't mean no car factories are there.

Is there a car YOU build, you'd like to brag about. Shight, they don't even teach auto shop in high school in the US anymore.

Actually there are quite a few. This includes assembly plants:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_automobile_m...

The most are in S. Africa, it looks like Europe compared with most of the rest of Africa. Many of English/Dutch descent. lots of money from diamonds/gold, many demand good European cars.

They manufacture trucks in Africa but not available for the western market except for Mercedes. Your government hard at work protecting you! If the US would get out of setting the laws in the auto, prescription drug, health care, and education industries we would have a lot more safari looking trucks available and probably safer too. I like those cute safari trucks they run around in down in Brazil, SA.

There are a few mostly assembling Chinese supplied “kits”. Some of the major companies have plants there also, but most cars in Africa are old stuff mainly from Southern Europe, since not many Africans can afford a car and even fewer , a new one.

It is basically a Northern thing.   It don't get cold in Africa so no rush to go anywhere.  They decided that there is more to life than WORKING, so they is laid back and taking it easy.

they were heavily into spear manufacturing.

Because they would be unreliable and extremely primitive vehicles.

Don't you know?  Ford, Leland,Olds, Otto, Daimler, Benz, Buick,Packard and the rest who take all the credit really visited Africa and stole the designs of all their cars from brilliant native inventors.

(BTW:  yes, we can easily search for a list of "African Automobile makers" and get results such as General Motors, Ford, BMW, Benz, Isuzu, etc.  Without expending more time than warranted, I'd like to see a list of African car makers meaning companies founded by Africans with African money to build cars designed, engineered, tested and marketed by Africans as opposed to branches of some foreign company.)

There are many. Your inability to do a basic research is only a reflection of your upbringing or lack of it. Now put that sheet over your head and get on down to the meetin house
