Facing a 15-hour straight driving - how to survive?

Update:

Made it, it sounded harder than it actually was. But now I need alcohol.

If it's straight,  tie up the steering wheel and nap.

If you've not been driving for long periods of time, don't even try it.  Surely not alone.

You won't, it's certain death. Suck it up, buttercup. Take a few breaks, if you feel like you're getting tired, get out and walk around some.

That's nothing. I've made many 40 and 50 hour nonstop trips. So, driving yourself and not riding as a passernger? Stay well hydrated with plain water. Stop every two hours for 15 minutes or so. Get some blood flowing with mild exercise. Get at least 20-30 minute nap about halfway through, if not a good hour. Stop anytime you get drowsy and take a break. Don't drive for hours on end with the cruise control set. Get more directly involved with controlling  your speed periodically. Keep your eyes moving around. Front, sides, mirrors, and look out in the distance. Don't stare straight ahead or at thje back of a vehicle in front of you. Listen to lively music but don't wear yourself out with it. Eat snacks to keep your energy up. Don't eat or drink too much sugar or refined bread or pasta. They make you drowsy. Eat protein, fruit, veggies, nuts, etc. Drink one 8 ounce cup of strong coffee every 4-5 hours. More will make you jittery and will dehydrate you. Keep the cabin cool to cold. Wear loose comfortable clothes. Open the windows and get fresh air once in awhile. Don't drive with the sun in your eyes if you can avoid it. Try to plan your trip to avoid heavy traffic around metro areas during the "rush" hours. Ear plugs can reduce noise fatigue if you have a noisy verhicle.

You do not do it.  Drive for 2 days.  If you cant, take the plane.  You are endangering your life and the lives of OTHER drivers.

Need lots of breaks from from the wheel.  Breaks to fill the gas tank and to empty your bladder.  Get out of the car , walk around and breathe the fresh air.

When driving take you eyes off the road long enough to look at your gauges. look out the side window.  Stretch your legs into the foot well.   lift your bum off the seat

You want to avoid highway hypnosis and getting too comfortable
