Is there a difference between a supplier and a manufacturer?

    Yes. A supplier provides components whereas a manufacturer makes things.

    Yes.

    First and foremost, a supplier is not necessarily a manufacturer.

    For example: a supplier can be a middle-man (and VERY often is).

    For example: a supplier can supply some item that is NOT manufactured (such as, for example, crude oil).

    Second (and relative to the first example above): a manufacturer is not necessarily the supplier. What if a manufacturer has an exclusive contract with a business (Business B) - ANOTHER business - that supplies to others one (or more) of its products? Well, the manufacturer is the supplier of that product to Business B only, while Business B is the supplier of that product to everyone else.
