How do you find local grown food?

I normally shop at farmer markets but the recent outbreaks have shut them down all month. I've seen in the news that imported food can have the virus like frozen chicken so I'm nervous about shopping at stores. I live in Florida. Are there ways to buy state produced food online?

You could look online maybe Google it?  Maybe 'HELLO FRESH'.

I live in southern Britain. I often go down to our town's market on a Thursday, when there is normally a farm stall. In recent weeks I have purchased locally grown apples, pears, plums, apricots, greengages, runner beans and mushrooms. Quite often they will have produce some time before it becomes available in shops.

The back page of the magazine of the Florida Farm Bureau has an order form for purchasing US grown produce, some from Florida. You can save a bundle on insurance from them, and also get healthy farm products.

These guys cover St John's and Putnam Co:

    https://thefarmersmarketbox.com/

It might give you some clues what to google for.

    This one is nationwide:

You'll have to email and ask if they deliver their boxes locally.

Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has set up this page, but tbh, I find it a bit confusing.  Maybe you'll have better luck:

The virus has not been found on food.

Farmers markets will pop up here and there, so just compare notes with friends and the local newspapers. That is still the best way to procure fresh foods. You can also look into Ethnic markets, like Indian, Asian, etc. They often have very large fresh produce departments.
