Can I use 2 monitors connected with different leads?

Hello all, recently bought 2 monitors. Both currently use HDMI, but I only have one HDMI port on my graphics card, and 3 display ports. One of the monitors supports display ports, so if I had it connected through display port, and the other HDMI, would they both work fine a as dual monitor setup? Thanks
