“Goose egg” bruise on forehead after 4 weeks. Is this normal?

Long story short, I was hit in the head by a rock thrown by a kid while at the beach. I had a concussion, stitches, and a good bruise. After four weeks, there is still a swollen bump on my forehead. Is this normal after this amount of time?

Sounds pretty normal to me. I had a hematoma similar to yours as well from a crash and that lasted about a month. Only time would tell but you could get it drained as well

The swelling and pain of the hematoma will go away.

This takes from 1 to 4 weeks, depending on the size of the hematoma. The skin over the hematoma may turn bluish then brown and yellow as the blood is dissolved and absorbed. Usually, this only takes a couple of weeks but can last months.
