If you burp more when you're drinking, do you get less drunk?

This is the question that everyone wants to know the answer to. I searched on the internet for the answer to this question but the answers have evaded my gaze. For nearly half an hour I have pondered this question with my good friend, but we both cannot come to a definitive conclusion of said question.

Only children asks these kinds of questions.

  • Burping or belching does not change your blood alcohol level nor does it sober you up.

    No.

That is just the excessive CO2 being returned, whether by food or drink.

The Alcohol is still being absorbed in the stomach and intestines.

No. That's just your stomach creating gas since it's being forced to take something that does not go well with stomach acid.
