Why don't Christians believe in a 2nd chance after death like Mormons do?

ONCE DEAD YOUR LAST FREE WILL TO CONFESS YOUR SINS OR NOT IS FOREVER. GOD GIVES YOU YOUR WHOLE LIFE TIME TO TURN TO HIM. THAT AMOUNTS TO ALOT MORE THAN A 2ND CHANCE.

YOU ARE LOCKED INTO YOUR LAST FREE WILL DECISION AND CANNOT NOR DO YOU WANT TO CHANGE YOUR MIND.

THE SOULS IN HELL DONT WANT TO AND CANNOT CHANGE THEIR MINDS, NOR CAN ANYONE ELSE.

What you call "Mormons" are Christians, silly.  Why don't other Christians believe 1 Peter 3:18-20; 4:6; and 1 Cor. 15:29?  Tradition and a lack of love for their neighbor.

because Christianity is based on the Word of God, not the word of some human founder.

    Because it's not Christian.

Christians and mormons may have similar theories, but the theological explanation is different.

Second chance progression theory as taught by the LDS (aka Mormon’s) teaches that people can be saved after the first death, and before the resurrection, 'by works' in the 'spiritual realms' (the most basic way to explain the theory)The majority of Christian denominations teach and believe in 'the great throne judgment' (Rev 20:11-15).  In this prophecy, anyone who never had knowledge of Jesus, and those who never took the opportunity to become Christians (without knowingly rejecting Him) will be judged  according to works alone (the motives behind their actions).

It was revealed to St. Faustina that everyone will get that one last chance after they die to stand before the throne of God and say “I’m sorry”
