What is a Johnny Marvin Professional Tenor Ukulele worth? ?

My great grandfather was a semi-famous musician in the 1920s and 30s and my family still has his old instruments. Ukulele is in pretty great condition with all its parts intact, the inside has a “standard approved” sticker. The back says Harmony Company as it should, I’m sure it’s a genuine one. If there’s a possibility of it being worth enough we’d take it to an appraiser

Even very worn, but still intact, at least $350usd is reasonable.  It depends on materials and construction details, though.  For example, one equipped with an "airplane" bridge is more sought-after, as is flamed mahogany wood and spring-equipped tuning pegs.

The weak point is the neck-to-body joint, which you should have looked at by a luthier.  They're usually worth fixing.

If it is in perfect condition it is worth around 400.00.
