With 400 nurses & docs(who wore layers of PPE)with the virus in Vic, does this show again that the10cent masks the public wear are useless?

    I seen a documentary early on in the pandemic about a study they did on inside a covid wards, covid was on everything because of patients coughing, sneezing and breathing, on every piece of medical equipment, all the walls and ceiling, on personal possessions and even in the pockets of some in the covid ward, if you don't follow strict protocals you will catch it.

    That's why people should wear masks, it's not about protecting you, it's about protecting other if you have covid, wearing a mask reduces your ability to spread covid and that's the plan.

    Er, no - health professionals need a much higher level of PPE than the general public, whose masks limit transmission to each other and keep the rates of the virus down.

  • Pretty much. I meant these masks were made in China. School dropouts probably made them for a bowl of rice.

    Those masks are made for the Northern Hemisphere, so you're probably wearing them upside down. As usual...
