Tesla Model 3 Range Reduced?

I took delivery of my Model 3 in December 2017. Came with 310 miles of range. A year or so later, Tesla sent out a software update that boosted it to 325 miles and cut the 0-60 down to 4.7 seconds. Fast forward to now... it looks like it’s back to 310 miles. Did anybody else experience this?

All Tesla owners should go join the Tesla Owners Forum. THAT's WHAT LOGICAL AND INTELLIGENT OWNERS DO when they want the best information from people who know.

Take the car to a Tesla dealer to run a diagnostic and software check.

I am not an expert in automobiles or the Tesla, but I know it runs on Lithium Batteries. The full charge of batteries slowly degrades with each full charge until the batteries need replacing, like a laptop.

As a retired Engineer making a quick answer stab, the car and its batteries are 2 1/2 years old. I think it's doing well for its age.

Battery Warranty: “Vehicles with Long Range Battery – 8 years or 120,000 miles (100,000 miles for Standard Range Battery), whichever comes first, with minimum 70% retention of Battery capacity over the warranty period.”

The software change cannot change the charge capacity nor the physical components of the car, and can only improve the efficiency of its operation; Start-stop and power draws of parts. The warranty tells you that in 8 years it will retain 310 x 0.7 = 217 mile range minimum. Temperature swings in climate, night use of lighting, radio and utilities, air conditioning, passenger and luggage load, and anything running on electric effects range and then number of charge cycles. The battery degradation is not linear. It probably drops faster later rather than sooner.

The 70% may have been raised to 75% in a later year.

Replacement is in modules rather than "pack".

    Cost is $5000 to $7000.

    Costs declining.
