I’m confused. Does Yahoo staff remove points, questions and answers or is that the community. Who moderates and decides violations here?

A computer counts reports and trust-ratings, and deletes posts.
No human will review the post unless and until the deletion is APPEALED

Ifg its a violations then it is the moderatiors that does it.
A moderator is anyone who has the ability to report IF they have a history of good reporitings.

Currently, it is reports from users that cause posts to be removed. In the past, staff would do a very small amount, but today, we really do not know if that still occurs. Staff only for sure come into play if you appeal. If you want to know the reason for the violation, post "Why was this question (answer) a violation?" and add the original e-mail you got and/or any details you remember so the users can see the exact context. The experienced users here will explain it to you. Many times the violation is not in the question but in the added details and updates.
